Never Knows Best

CP9 finally came to the Franky’s Warehouse asking him about the blueprints of Pluton. He was surprised that Lucci, Califa, Kaku and Blueno works for the government and that they’ve betrayed Iceburg. Franky was interrogated by the CP9 agents and denied the existence of such blueprints. Franky tried to fight Lucci off but he misses. Lucci fought back sending Franky against the wall breaking it. It then finally revealed a room. A room where Tom’s Workers work. There was this picture, a picture of the Tom workers. Kokoro and the frog was there, so is chibi Iceburg and Franky. We also finally knew who Tom was, he was a merman. Anyway, I thought at first that, Kokoro was Tom’s wife, but i was sure wrong. Kokoro is in fact, Tom’s secretary. Iceburg and Franky were still young back then so is Yokozuna the frog.

Anyway, one day they were visited by a ship — the Judicial ship of the World Government. We then learned that shipwright Tom built Oro Jackson. Oro Jackson is the ship of the world renowned Pirate King, Gol D. Roger. Because of that, the court sentenced Tom-san to death. But he appealed to the justice court. He said that he’ll make a sea train. A sea train that will connect Water7 to different islands without the use of log pose but by rail tracks embedded at sea land. The sea train would also carry people and ships from Water 7 to the other island. The opening of the train, would somehow help Water7’s ever dying economy, as trades would now become easier and safe. Sea Train was Water7’s hope. The judge accepted his offer. Tom said that it would take them 10 years to complete the train.

So Tom survived his conviction. Back at their place, Franky seems so pissed off. He was complaining as why do they need to convict Tom. Tom built a great ship that sailed across the world. Tom just laughed to Franky. Tom remembers the day he joins Franky. Franky built a cannon 2 yrs ago and Tom was amazed with it. Tom then said that both them, Iceburg and Franky, would be a skilled shipwright someday.

As of that night, Tom-san started to draft a plan for the Umi-ressha (sea train). After drafting the plan, Tom’s Workers (Catty Flam/Franky, Iceburg and Tom with the help of Yokozuna) built the sea train. At first Franky seems hesitant to help but eventually he helped Iceburg and Tom-san.

Everyone at Water7 was happy about the outcome of the sea train, Puffing Tom.

My thoughts:
Hmm, it’s nice that this part of the chapter in the manga is already animated. My thoughts is exactly the same when i read the chapter. I was surprised that Kokoro and Yokozuna is a part of Tom’s “family”. Not to mention that Kokoro was Tom’s “hot” secretary XD . And that Tom built Gol D. Roger a ship — Oro Jackson. Can’t wait how things would go in the next episode, seeing that goofy Spandam would be there now XD
