A Filipino Icon

I have a check-up and I needed to go to SM today. So I left the house then much to my suprise, the road is like deserted. Luckily, I was able to hire a trike after waiting for minutes. I was even surprised more, when I saw that there was no traffic in one of the busiest streets in my hometown. The reason? probably you’ve already guessed it right. People left their work and stuffs just to watch the fight of Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao vs. Erik “El Terible” Morales on TV….

Anyway, i’m already at SM, and it was a very fast and smooth ride — 15 minutes trip instead of 30 minutes? cool XD When I went inside SM, there was this big screen. It is the fight of Pacquiao and Morales. People are tuned in on the screen. Even the vendors are looking on the screen. I mean everyone is watching the fight. (Actually I already knew the result, since the broadcasted feed on local tv is not live). Anyway I also watched even though I already knew ^o^

When round 10 came, people are cheering for Pac Man when he is already starting to beat Morales. When Pac Man knocked him out, grabe sigaw ng mga tao. When I looked around, everyone is looking on the screen. Parang pwde na magnakaw sa stalls/stores dahil ang attention ng mga vendors ay nsa big screen XD

So there, it’s already official, Pac Man finally put away Morales with just under a minute remaining in the 10th round. Pac Man won the battle ^o^ w00t.

The fight not only amazed me but it really gave me some goosebumps. Look at those people who are supporting him. Mayaman, mahirap, or kahit sino, sinusuportahan si Pac Man. *sigh* oh well… sana…

Well anyway, Congratulations to Manny “Pac Man” Pacquiao for winning the battle against Erik “El Terible” Morales.

Pac Man deserves it. m(_ _)m

Manny “Pacman” Pacquaio proved that he is not just good in fighting in the boxing ring but also the depressive feeling he felt when he missed the chance to grab the championship title last year against Erik “El Terible” Morales. He strengthen his faith. He jump up on the zest pool of life and live it to the fullest. He proved this in a rematch with Morales and proved that he is still on the top of the boxing world when he won in the penultimate round…
